Dr. Birger Hayn is the principal veterinarian and administrative director of the veterinary clinic in Norcia.

 

He graduated with honors from the University of Perugia in November 1991, and obtained the Post-graduate Specialization Course "Hygiene of animal and food production: role of the veterinarian in the agri-food chain".

 

After declining the invitation received from the veterinary research institution in Berlin to follow his true passion, animal care, the new doctor began his professional experience in 1992 as a freelancer practicing in the milk sector, especially cattle and sheep, providing livestock and farm assistance.

Over the years, the veterinary activity intended for the care of big size animals has represented an essential sector of his professional exercise.

 

In 1994 he acquired the direction of the veterinary clinic for pets, starting an activity that this year turns 27 years old.

Over time, thanks to technological development, personnel management and increasingly articulated programming, the veterinary clinic in Norcia ranks among the most renowned veterinary activities in central Italy and counts on the trust of its customers and new visitors, who always express their enthusiasm and satisfaction with the work done.

 

Thanks to the advanced knowledge of the Italian, German and English languages, Dr. Hayn represents a suitable figure for tourists who, together with their quadruped friend, decide to visit the town of Norcia, Castelluccio and, more generally, the "Parco dei Sibillini mountains ".

The veterinary clinic has in fact, in recent years, recorded a notable increase in visits from foreign patients, pleased to be able to communicate with great ease with the doctor and medical staff.

 

In the field of his specialization in "Hygiene of animal and food production: role of the veterinarian in the agri-food chain", Dr. Birger Hayn has practised since 2001 in the field of "Evaluation of quality systems in the agri-food sector", and in that of "Evaluation of voluntary certification systems", making itself available to food and agri-food companies.
